One of the things I appreciate most about [Automattic](https://automattic.com/) is the room to lean into something when you see what it could become.

With [WordPress Studio](https://developer.wordpress.com/studio/), I could see a workspace that might become how a lot of people build with WordPress. A place to try an idea, watch it take shape, and decide where to publish once it’s ready.

The pieces were there, but the shape wasn’t quite right.

So I started building what I thought WordPress Studio could become. A modern WordPress workspace for a modern WordPress workflow. Simpler concepts, familiar tools, and an easier way to move between sites and conversations.

I want it to feel natural to anyone who already works alongside agents all day. The things we’ve come to rely on everywhere else should carry over into how we build with WordPress.

Underneath is [WordPress Studio Code](https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/developer-tools/studio/studio-code/), the harness that gives an agent the tools and context to work with WordPress. You can bring your own agent, or use [the one powered by WordPress.com](https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/developer-tools/studio/studio-code/#ai-providers).

Behind the scenes, we’re moving fast. It’s only a couple of us on a hyper-focused sprint. In the last ten days I opened [138 PRs](https://github.com/Automattic/studio/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Arichtabor+created%3A%3E%3D2026-10-26) on WordPress Studio, and 133 merged, most within hours. It’s scrappy in the best way. No big team, no long roadmap, and a Grok bot cranking out marketing assets while we build.

So if you haven’t tried WordPress Studio, [give it a go](https://developer.wordpress.com/studio/).

And if you tried an earlier version, I’d especially like to hear what you think of this one.
