A couple weeks ago, I took the plunge and [activated Gutenberg on my personal blog](/deploying-gutenberg/). There were a few quirks here and there, but for the most part, migrating to the new [Gutenberg block editor](https://wordpress.org/plugins/gutenberg/) has been a pleasant experience. Want to try out Gutenberg my theme + my theme?

Honestly though, writing in WordPress is finally fun again. And with the custom Gutenberg styling I’ve baked into my WordPress theme, the whole content creation experience feels so “_natural_.” So do you want to give it a spin and see what the next era of WordPress themes will be like? Well, now is your chance! I created a live sandbox with Gutenberg and my [Tabor WordPress theme](/tabor-wordpress-theme/) installed, so folks can experience first-hand what the future of WordPress holds.

As a WordPress theme developer, I’m absolutely thrilled for the new block editor. There’s so much opportunity to build brilliantly crafted WordPress themes user experiences. Sure, it’ll be a wild ride updating my existing [WordPress theme catalog](https://themebeans.com), though I’m confident it’ll pay off in the end.
